Points of Emphasis for Users

Data Ownership

  • You own your data. Your organization does NOT own your data, nor will your organization be able to see your data at the individual level only at an aggregated, anonymized level. Because you own your data, your log-in is your personal email address and the application is downloaded to your personal device.
  • This is an application sponsored by the organization, but designed to benefit you. The data that you enter in the application is yours, and will follow you whether you stay with this organization or go to another.

Data Sharing

  • You will choose what to share with your teammates. If you are not yet comfortable sharing your check-in with your teammates, then go ahead and check-in but make your check-in “only visible to me”. When you are ready, share with your teammates to drive connection!
  • Data shared is only available to the Team for 24 hours and then is removed from the Team “Home” View. The personal timeline is available to you for as long as you are a vellum account holder.

Checking-In

  • Check-ins are not limited to once per day. If you want to check-in more frequently, please do. This app was built for you!

Benefits

  • This application was designed by nurses and built for healthcare teams. We believe that through peer influence all clinicians will want to use this mobile application.
  • Using the application will benefit you and your teams! The intent of this application is to connect with one another to drive camaraderie, collegiality, change organizational culture, and connect on a more intimate level with one another. We believe that we can all use more of that. We want to break the stigma that it’s not okay to ask for help, but at the most basic level, we can emphasize that it is okay to share how we are feeling even when we feel sub-optimal.

Remember, it’s okay to not be okay.
